Just as the new Nordic cuisine allows us to rediscover our heritage, the nearby and forgotten this project tries to take a similar approach in the art of making buildings and tackling the problems of urbanization.

Can the old techniques and values we've left behind be adapted and transformed into something that we still want to associate ourselves with or should we just allow them slowly be erased?

Located where Nakskovs settlement encounters Lollands vast landscapes the project suggest an alternative and progressive way of establishing agriculture. A community where local farmers agricultural knowledge meets the new Nordic cuisine and the experience of its gastronomical pioneers. The project describes a place to explore new opportunities in the abandoned ways of the past and an attempt to highlight rural areas more contemporary potential.

The agriculture and its affiliated building is located in connection to one of the main

roads leading into Nakskov from the south. The plants are of various sorts and sizes and are planted so that the transition between the expansive horizontal beet fields and the vertical settlement becomes softer. It might even help to lower the tempo in which you move in and out of the city. The liberated location and design of the project's building shifts focus away from the city's industrial areas to something that compliments the flat landscape in a more delicate way. The buildings position and configuration is a result of endemic research and an attempt to create a versatile experience for all of its visitors.
